Joining Gallagher Bassett in October 2021 marked a turning point in my career journey. Feeling lost and uncertain about the future, I stumbled upon a job application on Indeed and decided to take a leap of faith, embracing a new challenge.

Starting as an administrator, I quickly immersed themselves in the world of insurance, eagerly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. Within just six months, I made positive changes within the administration team, enhancing work quality and streamlining processes. This dedication and drive did not go unnoticed, as I was unexpectedly promoted to the team leader of the administration team.

As the administration team leader, I focused on fostering strong relationships with team members and utilised my mentoring skills to support their development. Through effective leadership and guidance, I transformed the administration team, implementing seamless processes and providing the support they had desired when first joining the company.

Building on this success, I decided to apply for the position of call centre team leader, recognising the unique challenges it would present. Embracing the opportunity, I wanted to expand my skill set and contribute to the growth of the business.

As a call centre team leader, I prioritise comprehensive training, ongoing support, and constructive feedback to empower the team and drive business success. This role has allowed me to further expand my insurance knowledge and contribute to the team's purpose in the call centre.

One of the great benefits of working at Gallagher Bassett is the opportunity to pursue a CII qualification, which I am excited to explore. This qualification not only allows for personal growth but also opens up further opportunities within Gallagher Bassett.

Mentoring new members of staff is something I am deeply passionate about, drawing from my own experiences and the exceptional mentors I had when starting my career with Gallagher Bassett. I am committed to providing the same level of support and guidance to new employees, giving everyone the best opportunity to thrive and develop within the company.

One of the highlights of my career at Gallagher Bassett has been the consistent recognition and praise received from management, including being honoured with the Gallagher Way Award. This recognition serves as a strong source of encouragement and motivation for me to continue growing and excelling within the company.
